Who to Vote for...

I am cautiously sending a request for information. I feel like I should vote. I am not sure who to vote for. I know I have a lot of friends who have a lot of strong political opinions.

I would love to hear who you are voting for (feel free to comment anonymously) and why you are voting that way.

I really would like to know what you think. Also, please remember to be kind.

Glad to hear you are going to vote. Craig Ferguson, a recent naturalized US citizen, says it is our duty and I agree with him. Check out his monologue --

Me? I think I'm voting for Obama.
Because? He proposes more of a tax break for lower income families; health care plan is better; more likely to get us out of Iraq sooner; spends more time on the issues than attacking his opponent.

I want to vote for McCain; I want to like McCain but his campaign isn't getting me. Mostly, I've become disillusioned with Republican politics.

One of the reasons I will not vote for Obama is that it, with no exaggaration, would maybe be the last time I get to vote for anything. Obama wants to nationalize health care. Most americans who don 't know any better say "Well anything would be better than what we have now". That is just untrue. In Canada or the UK (socialized healthcare) Paul Dazet would still be waiting for his tumor to be removed as the average emergency operation is on a 8 to 12 month backlog. Yes his insurance dropped him and that sucks - but the tumor was removed and he is getting Chemo - put him in Canada or the UK and he is still sitting in the recliner with a growing cancerous tumor. This is one of dozens of reasons I could never vote for a socialist, that is one who wants to socialize parts of our economy.

Vic, I think you will like my new blog post - it's about politics... a little bit about me and a lot about a conversation my friend Liz had, about who she's voting for this year, with a very conservative Christian. I think you'll like it!!
